Purpose:
|
To train referees in the proper execution of
Naginata techniques and in recognizing proper
technique and timing while refereeing matches.
|

Requirements:
|
Referee Training: Open to those who have Sandan
and up.
Examination: USNF members
Tournament: USNF members, ages 13 and up.
|
|
Contents:
|
The seminar will consist of training in Naginata
basics, engi, zen nihon kata and shiai. Correct
referee comportment, flag usage and so on will also
be covered. A portion of the training will consist
of practice matches performed by both seminar
participants and volunteer senshu with seminar
participants acting as referees.
|
|
Examinations:
|
Kyu and Dan testing up to Sandan will be held on
Sunday, July 27th
|
|
Fees:
|
Referee Seminar: $50
Tournament Fees: Team match: $50.00 per team, each
individual event: $10.00, plus $5:00/person,
insurance fee. See application
for details.
Fee does not include lunch. Make checks payable
to USNF.

Accomodations:
|
No formal arrangements. USNF Office and NCNF
Office can recommend suitable hotels in the area.

Note that applications are being coordinated and
combined by the regional federations of the USNF.
Applications from individuals are only appropriate
for those who are not members of a regional
federation.
