Purpose:

Introduce beginners to Naginata, provide advanced training for participants, and teaching and referee training for instructors

Requirements:

Instructor's Seminar: 3 dan and up.
Annual Seminar: Open to the public

Contents:

Outline history of naginata.
Naginata basics: happoburi, datotsu, shikakeoji.
Zen Nihon Kata, basic technique with bo-gu, kakari-geiko, shiaigeiko, tournament management.

Examinations:

Kyu and Dan testing up to San-dan will be held on Saturday, Aug 16

Fees:

Instructor's Seminar: $30.
Annual Seminar: $30 for one day, $70 for three days

Accomodations:

Dormitory on Campus
Double occupancy (3 meals/day $45/day)

Deadline for booking dormitory accomodations: July 10th.
